Workhorse Outfits Llp is located at 242 Shahpur Jat. If you’ve ever been to South Delhi, you know Shahpur Jat is where a lot of the real clothing work happens. It’s a maze of narrow streets and old buildings that are all connected. Our place is no different from the rest. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a big delivery of raw materials coming in from the trucks. The name Workhorse really fits because we aren't here to look pretty or impress people; we’re here to put in the hours. The floors are concrete and the walls are covered in notes about different outfit designs we are working on. Shahpur Jat has a specific smell of diesel, fabric, and dust, and we’ve become part of that over the years. We spend most of our time on our feet, moving between the different workstations to check on things. We don't use polished language because there’s no time for it when you’re trying to hit a deadline. We hire people from the neighborhood who know how to work hard and don't mind getting their hands a bit dirty. It’s a noisy, sweaty place in the middle of June, but we keep the machines going regardless of the heat. We don't have a website that looks like a glossy magazine. We just have our address and our physical work. People know us for being reliable, even if our space is a bit messy and crowded. It’s the kind of place where you see exactly how things are made.
