Fakhama Fashion is located over at Abul Fazal Enclave Part-2. We are on the ground floor of G-50/3-A. If you are looking for us, we are right behind the Woodland store, which is a good landmark because people always get lost in these lanes. Our setup is pretty simple. We have the front area for showing what we’ve made and the back area where all the actual work happens. It’s a bit cramped sometimes when we have a lot of stock, but we make it work. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets, which is nice for focusing on the sewing. We started out with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as things picked up. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. Sometimes the delivery vans have trouble getting into the narrow street, so we end up carrying rolls of fabric by hand. It’s just part of the daily routine. We don’t make big promises; we just try to get the clothes out the door on time. Being in this part of Delhi feels like being in a small village sometimes because everyone knows each other. We’ve been here a while and plan on staying put for the foreseeable future.
