Shahpur Jat is a maze of narrow streets and old buildings, and we are right in the middle of it at A-111. Being on the third floor means a lot of climbing, which definitely keeps us fit. Our space at Bheeni Apparels is always buzzing with something. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows—venders shouting, motorbikes revving, and other workshops working. We have a few rooms filled with fabric and workstations. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s where the actual work happens. The floor is usually covered in thread and small pieces of cloth by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time talking to the craftsmen and making sure the designs are coming out the way they should. Sometimes we stay late when the orders are piling up, and we’ll order some food from the local stalls nearby. The light up here is actually pretty good during the afternoon. We don’t follow a strict corporate schedule; things happen as they need to. It’s a practical way of working. We’ve been in this building for a while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. Despite the changes, we just keep doing what we do, focusing on the garments and getting them out the door on time. It’s a busy life, but it suits us well enough for now.
