Shahpur Jat is an interesting place because it’s an old village that turned into a hub for designers and exporters. The lanes are very narrow and winding, and it can feel like a maze if you aren't used to it. Our office is up on the third floor, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops around the village. It’s a bit of a climb, but it keeps us active. The area has a lot of character, with old buildings standing next to modern boutiques. We share the street with all sorts of craftsmen and small businesses. Inside our space, things are kept simple. We have a couple of rooms for handling our overseas business and keeping our samples. It gets quite lively during the day with people moving fabric and boxes through the alleys. We usually have the windows open to let in some air, though you also get the noise of the neighborhood. It’s a very different vibe from a typical office park. We like being in South Delhi, and this spot has been home for our work for a good while now. It's a place where tradition and international trade sort of sit side by side in the alleyways.
