Sustainable Design & Developers is located in New Friends Colony (East), right on the ground floor at 51-B. It’s a decent area and we’ve been here for a bit now. Our day is mostly filled with drawing up plans and talking to people about how to build things better. Being on the ground floor means we get people stopping by occasionally with questions about their own properties. We aren't a massive company with hundreds of employees; we are just a small group trying to make sense of the construction world in Delhi. The office has a lot of natural light, which is nice when you're staring at blueprints for hours. We spend a lot of time discussing materials and how to make designs work in the real world. It’s not just about the drawings; it’s about making sure the builders actually understand what we want. Sometimes there are disagreements on-site, and we have to go out there and sort things out in person. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We don’t really go in for the slick marketing stuff. We just show people what we can do and let the work speak for itself. It’s a steady pace of work, and we like the balance of being in the office and being out in the field. It’s a good way to spend the day, even when things get a bit stressful with deadlines.
