Suniyati Foundation

We are based in Safdarjung Development Area, which most people just call SDA. The address is B-7/66/2, and it’s a pretty decent spot in South Delhi. It’s a bit quieter than the main markets, which we appreciate. Suniyati Foundation is run out of a space that feels more like a home than an office. We have a few desks pushed together and some plants that I keep forgetting to water. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere here. We don't have strict rules about what time people show up, as long as the work gets finished. Usually, we’re busy with paperwork or meeting with folks who come by to talk about community projects. The light in the afternoon is really nice in the front room, so that’s where we usually sit for our tea breaks. It’s not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of paper and pens, and our filing system is basically just "remember where you put it." Sometimes the street gets blocked by delivery trucks, which can be a pain if you're trying to get out for lunch. But overall, it’s a good place to be. We’ve been here for a while and the people around us are friendly enough. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It’s not flashy, but it’s our little corner of the city and it works for us.
