Sucinlta India Foundation

Out here in Kalkaji, things never really slow down. Our office is on the second floor of F-7, and if you know this part of South Delhi, you know how tight the parking can be. We’ve been working out of this spot for a bit now. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we keep our papers and sit down to figure things out. Sometimes the fan makes a clicking noise that drives everyone crazy, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Sucinlta India Foundation is basically just us trying to help out where it’s needed in the city. We don't have fancy brochures or a receptionist sitting at the front. Usually, someone is just shouting from the back room about where the stapler went. The neighborhood is alright, plenty of tea stalls nearby which helps when we're staying late. We get a lot of heat in the afternoons because the sun hits the front windows directly. You just pull the curtains and keep going. Most of the people who come by are locals from the colony or guys we’ve known for years. It’s pretty informal. We don't wear suits or anything like that. Just regular clothes for regular work. It’s a bit cramped when more than four people show up at once, but we make it work. It's just how things are in this part of Delhi. There is always someone moving furniture or talking loudly in the hallway outside.
