Srinika Foundation

Our place is in Lajpat Nagar-IV, at 26/166 in Vikram Vihar. It is a lower ground floor office, which keeps it a bit cooler during the Delhi heat. Srinika Foundation has been running from this spot for some time now. You have to walk down a few steps to get inside. It is a quiet space compared to the main roads of Lajpat Nagar. We have some bookshelves along the walls and a few old chairs that we have had forever. There is a small corner where we keep the water cooler and some glasses. We usually start the day with a quick cleaning and then get into the foundation's work. It is not a place for show; it is a place for working. We have a lot of files to keep track of, so the desks are often messy. Sometimes the mobile network is a bit patchy because we are on the lower ground floor, but we have a landline that works fine. Neighbors often stop by to say hello while they are out walking. We appreciate the local feel of Vikram Vihar. It is a decent neighborhood to be in. We do not have a big staff, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to cleaning the windows. It is just a practical, everyday office for us. We keep a spare umbrella by the door for when it rains.
