Shiddat Ek Prayaas Foundation

We are based over in Shaheen Bagh at Abul Fazal Enclave-II. Our little office is on the ground floor of A-57, right on Gali No 6. It’s a busy part of Jamia Nagar, and there is always something going on outside our door. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we’ve become a regular part of the street. The space isn’t very big, but it’s enough for what we need to do every day. We don’t have any fancy furniture or expensive equipment. It’s just a few of us sitting around some old desks, trying to help out where we can. People from the neighborhood drop by all the time. Sometimes they just want to talk, and other times they need help with paperwork or some local issue. We don’t make any big promises or use fancy words. We just show up and do the work. The ground floor location is handy because people don’t have to climb any stairs. It gets a bit dusty in the summer, and the street can be quite loud with the rickshaws passing by, but we don’t mind. We aren't a big corporate foundation. We are just local people trying to make things a little better for everyone around here. It’s a practical way to spend the day, and we feel like we’re doing something decent. We keep the kettle on for tea and try to keep things moving forward despite the noise.
