Sakar Vidya Foundation

Sakar Vidya Foundation is based out of Joga Bai Extension in New Delhi. Specifically, we are at S-10/12. It is a busy little corner of South Delhi and there is always something going on outside our door. We decided to set this up because education and learning felt like something we could actually help with around here. The office isn't anything special, just a few rooms where we keep our files and meet with people. It gets a little noisy sometimes with the traffic but we are used to it by now. Being in South Delhi gives us a good chance to reach out to different people. Most of the time it’s just us sitting down and trying to figure out how to make things work better for the students and families who stop by. We don't have fancy brochures or a big marketing team. It is just a handful of us who live and work in this neighborhood. The Joga Bai area has its own vibe and we feel like we are a part of that fabric now. We’ve had a lot of local people walk in just to see what we are doing. We tell them we are just trying to help out where we can. It’s a lot of manual work and checking things twice. Sometimes the internet is slow or the power goes out, but we just keep going. It’s honest work and we like being here.
