Our manufacturing unit is tucked away in Shahpur Jat, which is quite a famous spot in South Delhi for all sorts of creative work. We are in the DDA Flats at 3-B. If you have ever walked through the lanes of Shahpur Jat, you know it is a mix of high-end boutiques and small workshops like ours. For P. C. Chandra Jewellery Manufacturing Private Limited, this is where the actual making happens. It is not a big showroom with lights and mirrors; it is more about the workbenches and the tools we use every day. The space is a bit tight, like most places in this area, but we have everything we need to get the jewellery pieces finished. We spend our days dealing with the materials and making sure the production schedules are met. The atmosphere in the flats is quite busy, with people always coming and going. You can hear the sounds of different workshops all around us. We have been at this South Delhi location for a while now and it suits the kind of work we do. It is practical for us to be here because so many other people in the trade are nearby. We just focus on the manufacturing side of things and let the other offices handle the rest of the business stuff. It is hard work but it is what we know best.
