If you go down into the basement at 1800 Gyani Bazar, that is where you’ll find Ogma Consulting Private Limited. Being in a basement in KM Pur means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is a real blessing in the South Delhi heat. It’s not a huge place, but it fits us just fine. We have our computers and enough light to see what we are doing every day. The 110003 area is quite lively and can be a bit overwhelming. You can hear the sounds from the market above us sometimes during the afternoon. A small group of us works here, trying to make a go of it. There is no corporate manual or fancy handbook here. We just figured out how we wanted to work and stuck with it. The office is often a bit cluttered with papers, folders, and half-empty tea mugs, but we know where everything is. New Delhi can be a tough place to run a small business, but we like being in Gyani Bazar. It feels like a real neighborhood with real people. We don’t spend money on expensive furniture or shiny neon signs. Most of our furniture is just stuff we picked up over the years because it was sturdy and did the job. The day starts early for us, putting the lights on and staying until the work is finished. It’s a quiet life in a loud city, and that suits us just fine. At the end of the day, we’re just regular people doing consultancy tasks.
