Our business is down in the basement at E 55 in Kalkaji. It is a cool space even when it gets very hot outside in the Delhi sun. We deal with various foods and beverages. Kalkaji is a crowded part of the city, so finding a spot like this was lucky for us. We spend most of our time packing and organizing orders for customers. We do not have any windows down here, so we keep the lights on all day long. It is a quiet place to work compared to all the street noise happening upstairs. We have a small team of four people. We handle everything from checking the stock to talking to the delivery drivers who come by. We have been in this basement for a few years now. Sometimes it gets a bit damp when it rains heavily, but we manage to keep everything dry. We use wooden pallets to keep the boxes off the floor. Our focus is just on getting the products out to the shops that buy from us. We do not have a showroom or anything fancy to look at. It is just a workspace for us. We drink a lot of tea while we work. It keeps us going through the afternoon. Most of our day is spent counting items and taping up boxes. It is not glamorous, but it is our work. We like Kalkaji.
