Our place is right in Lajpat Nagar, specifically at House Number 1-E-35 on the ground floor. If you know the area, it is the rear side portion of the building. It is not a huge office, just a practical space where we handle the day-to-day stuff for the clinic. Most days it is just the usual routine of checking charts and talking to people about what they eat and how they live. The street outside gets pretty busy like most of Delhi, but inside it is mostly quiet except for the phone ringing. We have got some plastic chairs for people to sit while they wait and a wooden desk where we keep all the paper records. It is a bit cramped when too many people show up at once, but we manage somehow. The ground floor location helps because nobody has to climb any stairs to see us. We have been here for a bit now, and the neighbors are used to seeing folks coming in and out. It isn't anything fancy, just a regular spot where the work gets done. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the internet slows down, but that is just how things go around here. We spend a lot of time looking at food plans and writing things down on paper. There is a small corner for tea and water in the back. It feels like a lived-in space because it actually is. We try to keep things organized, even if the folders pile up. (252 words)
