Our office for the Frozen Desserts & Ice Cream Manufacturers Association Of India is over at Abul Fazal Enclave Part 2. We are specifically on the upper ground floor at F14/1 in Shahen Bagh. It’s a busy area in Jamia Nagar. If you come by, you’ll mostly see desks piled with papers and people talking on their phones about milk supplies or freezer parts. We aren't a big flashy organization. We are just a group of people trying to help the folks who actually make the ice cream and desserts you see in the shops. It’s a lot of day-to-day administrative stuff that isn't very exciting to talk about. We spend hours looking at new rules for food safety and trying to explain them to our members. Sometimes the internet goes out or the tea runs cold, and we just have to deal with it. The neighborhood is always noisy with traffic and people, which keeps things interesting. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just try to answer the emails and help the manufacturers when they run into trouble with their equipment or their licenses. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from filing papers to fixing the printer. We’ve been in this Shahen Bagh spot for a while now and it suits us just fine for the work we do.
