You’ll find us in the basement of M-1, Block M, over in Lajpat Nagar-3. Being in a basement means it stays relatively cool even when the Delhi sun is beating down outside. It can be a bit dark, so we have plenty of lamps around the place. Lajpat Nagar is always bustling, especially with the market so close by. There’s a constant stream of people and the sound of rickshaws. We like the vibe of the neighborhood. It feels very alive. Our office isn't very large, and it’s packed with boxes and old files. We’ve been meaning to clear some space, but we always find something more important to do. Fidels Ameliorate Foundation is run by a small team. We don't have a lot of formalities here. If you show up, we’ll probably offer you a glass of water and ask how you’re doing. We focus on getting things done rather than talking about it. Sometimes we stay late and order food from the stalls nearby. The local food is one of the perks of being in this part of town. We’ve seen the area change over the years, but our little basement spot stays pretty much the same. It’s a reliable place for us to gather and work on whatever needs attention that day. We just take things one step at a time.
