Devvillas Private Limited

Devvillas Private Limited is based out of N-107, on the second floor in Greater Kailash-I. Being in GK-I is interesting because the expectations are always a bit higher here, but the work is still the same at the end of the day. You still have to deal with the heat and the dust and the guys who don't show up on time. We spend a lot of our time going up and down those stairs. The office isn't much to look at, mostly just piles of files and some old chairs, but it is where all the planning happens. We focus on building villas and houses that actually fit into the plots we are given. It is a bit of a puzzle sometimes. New Delhi is a crowded place, and finding room to build something nice takes a bit of thinking. We don't use any corporate jargon here. If someone asks what we do, we just say we build houses. We try to keep things straightforward and honest with everyone we work with. There are plenty of challenges, like getting permits or dealing with the summer sun that makes the tools too hot to touch. We just take it one day at a time. We have a small team, and we’ve all been doing this for long enough that we don't need a lot of meetings to know what needs to happen next. It is just us, doing the work we know how to do, in this specific part of the city. We hope the homes we build last long enough for families to really settle in.
