Demokranti Foundation

Our office is at 92 G/F in Ghaffar Manzil Extension. Being on the ground floor is handy because we don't have to deal with any stairs. It’s a small place in South Delhi. The name is Demokranti Foundation. We spend our time here working on various projects. It’s a bit of a mix of things, really. The office has a couple of computers and a lot of paper. We aren't very good at keeping things tidy, so there are stacks of books and documents everywhere. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s a nice enough area. We have a small kettle for making coffee and we spend a lot of time just talking through ideas. We aren't a big, polished group. It’s just a few of us who wanted to start something. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there and wait for it to come back on. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment. We just use what we have to get the job done. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it’s pretty relaxed during the day. We just come in, do our work, and head home like anyone else. It’s an honest way to spend the day, even if it’s a bit slow some afternoons. We hope to just keep going like this, doing what we can from our little corner here in the extension. It's not always exciting, but it's what we do.
