Being in Nehru Place means you are always in the middle of a crowd. Our office for Consecgood Impex Private Limited is in Devika Tower, up on the third floor. If you know Nehru Place, you know it is the heart of the computer and electronics trade in Delhi, so there is this constant hum of energy. We are at number 6, and the walk from the parking area or the metro can be a real struggle when it is hot out. The elevators in the tower are usually busy, so sometimes we just take the stairs if we are not carrying too much. Inside the office, it is pretty straightforward. We have our desks, our files, and the usual office supplies scattered around. There is a lot of talk about shipments and trade figures because that is just what we do. It is a practical space, not something out of a magazine. We have the air conditioning running most of the time to keep the Delhi heat away. Outside the window, you can see other buildings and people rushing around below. It is a good spot for an impex business because everything is right here. We spend our hours mostly dealing with the paperwork side of things and making sure the numbers match up. It is a long day usually, but that is just how things go in this part of town.
