Amrav Bakes Llp

We have Amrav Bakes over in Dayanand Colony, which is part of Lajpat Nagar-4. Our address is C-125. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit calmer than the main market areas. We do a lot of baking here. The smell of bread and sugar is pretty much stuck in our clothes at this point. The ovens are the heart of the place. They’re old but they work well enough for what we need. We start our shift while most people are still sleeping because the dough needs time to rise. It’s a lot of physical work, kneading and traying everything up. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of flour by noon. We try to sweep it up, but it just comes back. It’s just a small team of us here. We don’t have a fancy storefront with neon lights. It’s more of a practical space where we get the work done. Sometimes the neighbors pop in to say hello or ask what’s in the oven today. We like being in this part of Delhi. It feels more like a community than a business hub. We’ve had to fix the plumbing a few times this year, and the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest bakery in the city. We just want to make sure the stuff we put out is decent and that we can keep the doors open. It's a lot of long hours but we enjoy the work.
