Zakaria Shahid Industries

Down here in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-I, things stay pretty loud during the workday. Our place, Zakaria Shahid Industries, is located at D-169, and we have been part of this specific industrial block for a long time. It is mostly just machines running and people moving heavy boxes around from dawn until dusk. The floor gets quite dusty, especially in the late afternoons when the big trucks are coming in and out of the main gate. We do industrial work, the kind of stuff that requires heavy work gloves and a lot of patience. This definitely isn't a quiet office job where you sit in a cubicle. We have a small crew and most of us have been working together long enough to know exactly how each machine sounds when it is running properly. Sometimes the power cuts out or a raw material delivery is late, but we just deal with the delay and keep going. The Okhla heat can be a bit much in the summer months, but we have a few big fans that help a little. We are not trying to impress anyone with a big lobby or shiny signs. It is just a workspace where we get the orders filled and loaded. Most of our days are spent checking measurements and making sure the supplies are where they need to be. It is a lot of physical labor.
