Youshakti Foundation

You can find Youshakti Foundation at S-571 in Greater Kailash 2. We are specifically on the second floor at the back. It’s a bit of a hidden spot, even though GK-2 is a very popular and well-known part of New Delhi. Being at the back of the building means we don't get much of the street noise, which is great for getting work done without distractions. The office is reached by a flight of stairs that can be a bit narrow if you're carrying boxes. Inside, it’s a fairly typical setup. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a corner for making tea. We don't have any big signs or posters on the walls. It’s just plain white paint and some calendars that are mostly there to cover marks on the wall. We spend most of our time here dealing with the day-to-day tasks that keep the foundation running. It isn't glamorous work. It involves a lot of reading, writing, and making sure the files are in the right place. We like the neighborhood because it’s easy to grab a quick bite to eat nearby, though we usually just bring lunch from home to save some money. The atmosphere is quiet and professional, but in a very low-key way. We don't have a big team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. It’s just a small group of people in a back office trying to stay on top of things.
