Yoghari Foundation

Yoghari Foundation is based at Plot No-03, Naveen Palace in Habiat Pura, Najafgarh. This part of New Delhi feels a bit different from the center of the city. It’s more spread out and has its own local character. The building we are in is called Naveen Palace, but don't let the name fool you into thinking it's some grand mansion or palace. It’s a practical, sturdy building that holds our office quite well. We have a large room where most of the daily work happens. There are some old fans on the ceiling that make a bit of a clicking sound when they are on high speed. You get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out notes for the files. Najafgarh can be a bit of a trek for some people, but for us, it’s home. The dust from the road often finds its way inside, so we are constantly wiping down the desks. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't have a big budget for fancy things, so we make do with what we have. Most of the furniture was donated or bought second-hand. It gives the place a bit of a lived-in feel which we like. We aren't here to impress anyone with a shiny office or expensive carpets. We are just here to do what needs to be done. It’s a straightforward operation in a busy part of the outskirts. We just keep going.
