Our place is number 186 in the Dsidc Complex. It’s right in the middle of Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-1. If you know Okhla, you know it’s always crowded and there’s always something being loaded or unloaded. Yantrika Instruments Pvt Ltd is our small business. We handle instruments of all sorts. Most of the day is spent calibrating or repairing things. The Dsidc Complex is an old building, but it serves its purpose. We have some grease on the walls and the floors aren't perfectly clean, but we’re a working shop, not a showroom. We’ve been in Phase-1 for years and we’ve seen plenty of other shops come and go. We just keep doing our thing. It’s a lot of manual work and checking numbers. Sometimes it’s frustrating when a part doesn’t fit, but we usually figure it out. We don't have a marketing department. We just have our tools and our experience. Most of our customers are from the same industrial area. They just walk over when they have a problem. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the weather while we work. It’s a decent living. We don't pretend to be anything we’re not. We’re just a group of people at 186 Dsidc who know how to work with instruments. It’s noisy and dusty, but it’s home to us. It works for what we need.
