Wood King Furnitures

Out in Sangam Vihar, specifically at E-7C, 672/10, things are always moving. This part of New Delhi is pretty crowded, and our furniture shop is right in the middle of all that energy. If you walk inside, you’re going to smell sawdust immediately. It’s everywhere—on the floor, on our clothes, and on the benches. We spend our days cutting wood, sanding down edges, and putting pieces together. It’s noisy because of the saws and the hammers, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things by hand. The lanes around here are narrow, so getting wood delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We have to coordinate with the drivers to make sure they don’t get stuck. Customers often drop by just to see what kind of timber we have or to talk about a wardrobe they need for their house. We don’t have a big showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a workshop where you see the work actually happening. Sometimes the Delhi heat makes it tough to keep going in the afternoons, but we take a break and then get back to it. It’s a lot of physical labor, and our hands are usually pretty rough by the end of the week. We just focus on getting the joints tight and the finish smooth enough for whoever is taking it home. It’s just us doing what we know how to do.
