Womenwhowin Foundation

We are over here at 241-Bsarita Vihar, just a regular spot where a few of us get together every morning. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that, just some desks and chairs where we try to get things done. Most days, it’s pretty loud because the street outside gets busy, but we’ve gotten used to it by now. People from the neighborhood stop in sometimes just to say hello or ask what we are working on. We started Womenwhowin Foundation because we saw a lot of women around here who just needed a bit of a hand with different things. It’s been a learning process for all of us, honestly. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and figuring out the paperwork, which there is always way too much of. Other days, the phone won’t stop ringing and we are running around trying to organize stuff. Sarita Vihar is a nice place to be based, even if parking is a nightmare. We just do what we can with what we have. It’s mostly just us trying to be helpful and keeping the place running. We don’t have any big corporate backers, just a small group of people who care about what happens to the women in our community. It’s hard work sometimes, and our filing system could probably use some help, but we make it work somehow. We aren't trying to impress anyone, just helping out.
