Khirki Extension is a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, with all the narrow lanes and bikes zooming past. Our office is up the stairs, and it’s a pretty simple room. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan that helps. We’ve been in this spot for some time now. It’s a lively neighborhood, lots of noise and families living nearby. You can hear kids playing in the street below while we’re working. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who show up every morning. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay organized. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We just wear what’s comfortable and talk like normal people. No fancy suits here. Sometimes the internet goes out when it storms, but that’s just life in Delhi. We just wait for it to come back and keep going. We don’t put up big posters or try to get attention. We’re just Wirecto Foundation, tucked away in our little corner of the extension, doing what needs to be done. We stay focused on the paperwork and the small daily goals we set for ourselves in this cramped but cozy space that we call home for now.
