Vsa Space Design Pvt Ltd is down in the Lower Ground Floor at A-134 in Lajpat Nagar I. Since we are in the LG, it stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is a relief in the summer. The space is a bit narrow, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other’s chairs. There are samples of tiles and wood laminates leaning against almost every wall. It’s a bit of a maze of desks and drawing boards. We have a small pantry where the kettle is always on because we can’t seem to function without caffeine. The walls are covered in half-finished sketches and sticky notes with reminders about site visits. Lajpat Nagar is always crowded, so just getting into the office in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with all the traffic. We spend half our time here and the other half out at construction sites, getting dusty and arguing with contractors. It’s not a clean-cut job, and we usually go home with ink on our hands. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist; if you walk in, you’ll probably just find one of us hunched over a plan. We just do our thing, focusing on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right before we send them out.
