We are based out of F-145/5 in Shaheen Bagh, specifically the Abufazal-II area in Okhla. It’s a very lively part of New Delhi with shops and people everywhere. Vistar Constructions is a small operation here. Our office isn't very large, so it often feels a bit cramped when the site supervisors come in for their weekly meetings. We have shelves full of folders and maps of different localities where we have projects going on. It’s a bit dusty because of all the construction material samples we keep around for clients to see. We don't have a polished sales pitch. Usually, we just sit down with a cup of chai and talk through the costs and the time it will take to get things done. The traffic in Okhla can be a nightmare, so we do a lot of our coordination over the phone. We hire local people whenever we can because they know the area best. There’s no corporate hierarchy here. Everyone does a bit of everything, whether it’s checking invoices or visiting a site to see if the bricks arrived. We try to keep our overheads low so we can stay competitive. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work. We’ve been in this spot for years and the locals know where to find us if they need something built. We just keep our heads down and focus on the current task. We don't mind the extra effort when a project deadline is close. It’s all part of the building business here.
