Vinty Impex

Vinty Impex is based over in the Okhla Industrial Area, specifically Phase-I at A-57. It’s one of those parts of town where there is always a truck blocking the road or someone unloading a crate. Our space is mostly filled with boxes and samples of things we’re importing or sending out. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just a lot of shelving and a couple of desks where we handle the shipping documents. Working in Okhla means dealing with the heat in the summer and the heavy traffic, but we’ve been here long enough that it doesn’t bother us much anymore. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the goods coming in because we don't want any surprises later on. It’s a lot of coordination between the warehouses and the transport guys. Sometimes things get delayed at the port or there’s a mix-up with the paperwork, and we have to spend the whole afternoon on the phone sorting it out. That’s just the nature of the import-export business. We aren’t a huge corporation; we’re just a dedicated group of people trying to make sure the trade side of things runs as smoothly as possible. We usually eat our lunch together in the small break area before getting back to the boxes. It’s a busy life, but we like the pace and the fact that every day brings a different set of items to handle.
