Being in the institutional area means it’s a bit more set back from the crazy traffic of the main streets. It is a quieter spot, which is good for the kind of work we do here. Dealing with mental health and neurosciences is complicated stuff. It takes a lot of time and patience. We aren't like a clinic where you are in and out in ten minutes. We have to sit and listen or run long tests. The building looks like most of the others in Nehru Nagar—plain, functional, and built for a purpose. We have offices and rooms for patients who need to stay a while. It isn't a happy-go-lucky kind of place, but it is an important one. We see people who are going through some of the hardest times in their lives. Our staff is trained for it, but they are just regular people too. We try to keep the atmosphere calm. There are no fancy brochures or polished sales pitches here. It’s just medical professionals doing their jobs in a quiet part of town. We’ve been here in Nehru Nagar for quite some time now, and we just keep focusing on the science and the patients who come to us for help.
