Khanpur is a tight place. Ambedkar Nagar in J.J. Colony is always moving. We are at C-201. It’s a small shop packed with wires, bulbs, and testers. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to move. We deal with electrical stuff for the people living nearby. If a fuse blows or a motor stops working, someone usually comes knocking. It’s dusty work and Delhi’s heat doesn’t help much in the summer months. We have an old ceiling fan that clicks all day while we work on the bench. It's not a big company with a lobby or anything. It's just a place where we fix things and sell parts. Usually, one of us is out on a bike heading to a house to look at a wiring problem. We’ve seen the colony change a lot over the years. The address is easy to find once you get into the lane near the main road. Trimoorti Electricals has been here for a good bit now. We don't do much advertising, mostly just people telling their neighbors about us. It’s a simple life of testing circuits and stripping wires. We close up late most nights because there is always one last job to finish. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and we know everyone in the street. We just try to keep the lights on for people and fix their gear so they can get back to their day.
