Our office is down in the basement of building 15 in the Saket Community Centre. Saket is usually a very busy and loud place, but being in the basement keeps things a bit quieter for us while we work. We do not get much natural light down here, but we have plenty of lamps and it stays surprisingly cool in the summer, which is a big plus in Delhi. We deal with apparel consultancy, so there are often clothing samples lying around or fabric swatches pinned up on the boards. It is a bit of a creative mess sometimes, but we know where everything is. We have got some large tables for looking at patterns and a few desks for the admin side of the business. People are always coming and going with packages or rolls of fabric. It is a very hands-on kind of place to be. We are not sitting in leather chairs in a high-rise building. We are down here surrounded by the actual tools of our trade. Sometimes the pipes in the ceiling make a bit of noise, but we hardly even notice it anymore. We have been in this Saket spot for a good while now. It is a convenient location because the metro is close and there are plenty of places to grab lunch around the community centre.
