The Pixelworkshop

Our small office is located on the second floor of D-9 in Geetanjali. It is a relatively quiet street compared to the rest of the city, which really helps when you are trying to focus on a computer screen for many hours at a time. The Pixelworkshop started out quite small and we have kept it that way on purpose. We have these very powerful computers that put out a lot of heat, so the air conditioning has to be running almost all day long. The walls are mostly bare, except for a couple of old prints that we never actually got around to framing properly. It is a very relaxed environment where most people just wear t-shirts and jeans every day. We don't have one of those fancy expensive coffee machines; we just use a basic electric kettle in the corner. Most of our time is spent tweaking tiny details on a screen that most people would never even notice. It can be quite tedious work sometimes, looking at pixels all day, but there is a nice feeling of satisfaction when a project finally looks right. We do not have a marketing team to tell us how to speak, so we just talk to people in a normal way. If a project is going to take us two weeks to finish, we just say it will take two weeks. We try to be very honest about what we can actually do here. It is a humble setup but it works for us.
