Tammer Construction Company operates out of this flat in New Delhi. Specifically, we are at 154, R.P.S Flat in Khanpur. It’s very close to the Ambedkar Bus Depot, so the noise of the buses and the traffic is something we hear all day long. Even though our name mentions Manama, Bahrain, this is where we handle the Delhi side of things. The office is inside a residential block, so it feels very much like a home environment while we are working on construction plans and managing the site workers. It can get pretty cramped with all the maps and site documents spread across the tables. We move back and forth between the office and the various project sites. Construction is a messy business, and we often come back with dust on our shoes and dirt on our clothes. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a receptionist. People who need to talk to us usually just knock on the door of the flat. It’s a practical setup for us because we are right in the middle of the city. We keep track of the labor, the materials coming in, and the timelines for the building work. There is always someone on the phone or writing down notes on a pad. It’s just honest work. We deal with the local weather and the Delhi traffic just like everyone else around here. It keeps us busy from the early morning until very late in the evening.
