Suryadev Chhath Puja Association

If you head down to Sanjay Colony in Bhatti Mines, you’ll find us at D-107/5 on the ground floor. This is where the Suryadev Chhath Puja Association does its thing. D-Block is a place we know inside out. We spend a lot of time here getting ready for the festivals. It’s not a business in the way people think of companies, it’s more about the community. People around here in 110074 know where to find us if they need something for the puja. The ground floor is always open for folks to drop in and talk. Sometimes we sit around for hours planning how things will go. The Bhatti Mines area is a bit out of the way for some, but for us, it’s home. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s just a plain room where we keep our stuff. When the festival season comes, it gets really hectic. Everyone is running around trying to make sure the decorations and arrangements are okay. We don't do this for profit or anything like that. It’s about keeping the tradition alive in our little corner of Delhi. Most of the people helping out are just neighbors from the colony. We just put in the hours because it needs to get done. It’s simple, local, and we like it that way. We just want to make sure the next celebration is handled right for everyone.
