Storywell Books Foundation

We are based in Flat Number 268, which is up on the third floor of the DDA Flats in Sukhdev Vihar. It’s in Pocket B, a part of South Delhi that feels quite lived-in. To get to us, you have to head up the stairs since there isn't a big elevator or anything fancy. The office is basically one of the rooms in the flat that we’ve filled with boxes and papers. It’s a bit of a climb, but the view of the neighborhood from the balcony is alright. Storywell Books Foundation started here because the rent was manageable and it’s close to where most of us live. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a place with a few desks and a lot of coffee mugs. Sometimes it gets a bit messy with all the stuff we have lying around, but we know where everything is. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try to keep the noise down during the late hours. We spend a lot of time just sitting around the table figuring out our next steps. It's a bit small, especially when we have visitors, but we manage just fine. Living and working in the same general area makes things a lot easier for the team. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a very local, simple way of doing things. We like it here.
