Smoker Plaza

If you ever find yourself in the Central Market of Madangir, you’ll find us at shop B-1. Smoker Plaza has been a part of this market for a long time. It’s a small shop, and we’ve tried to make use of every inch of shelf space we have. The market is always crowded with people looking for all sorts of things, so there’s a lot of energy and noise right outside our door. Inside, it’s a bit more contained, but it still gets busy, especially in the evenings when people are finished with work. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where every single item is kept. The glass counters are a bit scratched from years of use, and the lighting is just some basic tubes on the ceiling. We spend our day talking to the regulars who come in and keeping the stock organized. Sometimes the deliveries arrive right in the middle of a busy spell, and we have to stack boxes in the corner until we have a moment to put them away. It’s a very local feel here. We know the other shopkeepers in the Central Market, and we often share a tea in the afternoon. We don’t have a website or any fancy marketing. People just know us from being here in the same spot at B-1 for years and years. It’s just a simple shop in a busy Delhi neighborhood that stays open late to serve the local crowd.
