Sita Ram Stationers

The shop is tucked away in Lajpat Nagar 2 on Saroj Gandi Road. Being near Central Market means there is always a lot of noise and people walking past our door. We have been sitting here at J-5 for years. It’s a small space, filled up to the ceiling with paper, registers, and various types of pens. You have to watch your step because of the boxes on the floor. Most of the time, we are busy helping students or office workers who need photocopies or a specific kind of file folder. It gets hot in the summer, but the ceiling fan keeps things moving. We don't really do much advertising at Sita Ram Stationers. People just know we are here. Sometimes the stock takes a few days to arrive from the suppliers, so we tell customers to check back later. We use an old wooden counter that’s seen better days. It’s a bit messy behind the desk with all the staplers and tape rolls. Lajpat Nagar is a fast place, but inside the shop, we take our time to find exactly what someone is looking for. We close up for a bit in the afternoon for lunch. It’s not a big corporate store. It’s just us selling stationery items to whoever walks in from the street. The sign outside is a little faded now, but it still does the job for our daily business.
