Shiela Hotels is based out of M102 in Greater Kailash I. If you’ve ever been to GK, you know how the parking can be a total nightmare, especially around the markets. We are in a more settled part of the area, though. The office is basically where all the planning and the boring behind-the-scenes stuff happens for the hotels. It’s not a hotel itself, just the administrative hub. We have a few desks, a couple of old filing cabinets, and a kitchen that always smells like ginger tea. Delhi summers are tough, but we have the ACs running and we just stay inside and work through the day. The building is older, but it has a lot of character compared to the new glass blocks you see popping up everywhere. We aren't trying to be the most modern office in New Delhi; we just need a reliable place to sit and coordinate everything. Most of the staff live nearby or take the metro, so we are a pretty local bunch. We know the guy who sells fruit at the corner and the guards from the other houses. It’s a very grounded way to run a business. We don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. People who need to find us usually know where to look. It’s just a regular workspace in a busy part of the city where we keep our heads down and work hard.
