Sharda Motor Industries Limited is located at D-188 in Okhla Industrial Area, Phase-1. If you've ever been to Okhla, you know the roads are always full of delivery vans and people rushing around. Our place is right in the thick of it. The building is an older one, but it does what we need it to do. We spend a lot of time on the shop floor or handling logistics from the small office near the entrance. It can get pretty loud when the heavy machinery is going, so we’ve all learned to talk a bit louder. There is a small tea stall just around the corner where most of the staff hangs out for ten minutes in the morning. We don’t have much in the way of decoration. The walls have some old calendars and charts that have been there for years. The main gate stays open most of the day because there’s always something coming in or going out. It feels like a place where things actually get built. We don’t spend much time worrying about how the front looks; we just want to make sure the work gets done correctly before the shift ends. It’s a gritty part of town, full of grease and hard work, and we’ve been a part of it for a long time now. Everyone knows everyone else on this block, which makes it feel a bit like a community. We just get on with things and try to stay productive.
