It’s a more grounded, local spot for Shapoorji Pallonji & Co.Ltd. Being in a place like Dakshinpuri means we are right in the middle of a busy residential and commercial mix. There are people everywhere and the narrow streets are always full of life and activity. Our office is just a simple space where we keep our tools, some records, and where the supervisors meet up to discuss the day. It’s a bit crowded inside sometimes, especially when the site workers come in for their pay or to check the weekly schedules. We’ve got a couple of ceiling fans that keep the air moving, and that’s about as much comfort as we need. Working in Delhi has its own set of challenges, like the intense summer heat and the dust from the roads, but we’ve been at House 300 long enough to be used to it. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We’re just a bunch of people working for a big company but in a very local, practical setting. It’s a place where work actually happens. No fancy lobbies or receptionists here, just some desks and a lot of hard work. We stay focused on the tasks and the city we live in.
