If you come to D 44 in Kalkaji and head up to the second floor, that’s where you’ll find Saraf Projects Pvt Ltd. It’s a residential-looking building but we use this floor for our project work. Kalkaji is always buzzing with energy, and our street is no different. We handle various project management tasks here. There’s usually a lot of paper on the desks and the sound of someone on a conference call. It’s a lived-in space. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day. The furniture is a bit mismatched because we’ve added pieces over the years as we needed them. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a small one by the door. Most people who come here already know who we are. We try to keep things simple and avoid complicated jargon. We just tell people what can be done and how we plan to do it. It’s a comfortable enough place to spend eight or nine hours a day. The light from the balcony is good in the afternoons. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but it’s just part of being in Kalkaji. We don’t try to act like we are some giant firm. We are just a local team working out of a second-floor office. It’s worked out well for us so far. We just focus on the projects and keeping things moving forward. It is a very normal, hardworking office environment.
