We’re over at 52, Community Centre in New Friends Colony. It’s a pretty well-known spot in this part of Delhi. The building is standard for the area, and our office is just a plain, functional space. We’ve got a bunch of desks shoved together and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. The carpet is a bit worn out in the high-traffic areas, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it doesn't stop us from getting things done. We don't have a big reception area or any fancy logos on the walls. It’s just a place where we work. Most of us have our own little piles of stuff on our desks—mugs, family photos, and mountains of paper. We spend a lot of time on the phone or in small meetings around the main table. There’s a small balcony where some of the guys go for a smoke break, and it gives a nice view of the trees in the colony. We usually go out for lunch to one of the nearby stalls in the Community Centre because it’s good to get some air. We don't have a lot of rules about how things should look; we just care that the work is finished on time. It’s an unpretentious environment where everyone knows what they’re supposed to do. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the office has a lived-in feel.
