Sakshamta Foundation

Sakshamta Foundation is located over in Sangam Vihar at C-1000. If you know Delhi, you know Sangam Vihar is a really packed place with lots of narrow lanes and people everywhere. Our spot is right in the middle of all that. We chose this location because it puts us right where the action is. Most days, you can find someone at the office dealing with the local issues that pop up. We aren't trying to be some huge organization with glass buildings. We just have this one place at C-1000 where we do our thing. The foundation is about helping people get more capable, hence the name Sakshamta. It’s a lot of ground-level effort. We talk to the neighbors and try to solve small problems before they get big. The heat in the summer can be tough in this part of town, but we have a couple of fans and we manage just fine. We don't do much advertising because word of mouth works better here. People just know where we are. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us sometimes, but we are always there. We keep our paperwork in order and try to be as helpful as possible to anyone who walks through the door. It’s just regular people helping other regular people. No big speeches or anything, just plain work every single day of the week.
