Sagar Manthan Nidhi Limited is tucked away at E-78A, on the back side of Vishwkarma Colony. We are in South Delhi, near the 110044 area. The office is a bit hidden since it is at the back, but that makes it a bit quieter than the main road. We have a small sign so people can find the entrance. Inside, there is just enough room for us and a few visitors. We handle the local fund where members put in their bits of money. It is a regular routine of filling out forms and giving out receipts. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit and talk until it comes back on. The neighborhood is mostly families and workers. We know most of the people who come through the door by their first names. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything, we still like using the physical books because they feel more real. There is a small window that lets in some light, but mostly we use the overhead bulbs. Our desks are old but they do the job. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a big lobby. We just want to make sure the members' money is accounted for and the records are kept safe in the back. It is a simple life here in Vishwkarma Colony and we are just another small business on the block.
