Sachdeva Dry Fruit has been sitting here in the Madangir DDA Market for quite a few years. If you head to Phase II, you’ll see our shop. It’s packed with bags of almonds, walnuts, and raisins. The air always smells a bit like cashew nuts and spices. It’s a family-run kind of thing. We don’t have some fancy showroom; it’s just shelves and boxes everywhere. People from the neighborhood come by for their daily snacks or when there’s a wedding and they need to give gifts. We spend a lot of time sorting through the stock to make sure the quality is okay. If the weather gets too humid, we have to be extra careful. My father started this, and now I’m here most days. It’s not just about selling; it’s about talking to the aunties who come in looking for the best price. We know most of our customers by face, if not by name. It’s a local life. Some days are slow, especially when it’s too hot for anyone to be out shopping, but festival seasons are crazy. We barely have time to sit down then. We aren't interested in being a big chain. We just like our spot in the market and being the place where people get their dry fruits without any fuss. It's a living and we're happy enough with how it goes every day.
