Saba Wire Industries

You can find us at 208 in the Dsidc Complex in Okhla Phase-I. It’s a big complex and it can be easy to get lost if you don’t know your way around. Saba Wire Industries is where we make all kinds of wire products. We have these big spools that roll all day long. The noise is something you just get used to after a week or so. We’ve got a team of a few guys who handle the winding and the cutting. Most of the time, we are busy packing coils into bundles to be sent out. The floor is concrete and it’s usually covered in little bits of wire offcuts. We have to be careful where we walk. Okhla is always busy, so there’s a lot of traffic getting in and out of the gate. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. We have a small office area partitioned off with some plywood, but it’s mostly just for the ledger and the phone. We drink a lot of water and try to keep the fans going. It’s a straightforward manufacturing job. We don’t do anything flashy. We just take the raw material and turn it into the wire that people need for their projects. It’s a bit of a rough environment, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this Dsidc unit for a good while now and we like the routine of it.
