S & S International

Madangir Village is where we are, right behind the police chowki. It's a busy spot. Our place at 58-C is on the ground floor, so it’s easy to get in and out, but it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up. S & S International has been in this space for a bit. The street is narrow and people are always moving around. Sometimes the police sirens are loud because we’re so close to the chowki, but you get used to it after a week. Inside, it's just a regular setup with some desks and boxes piled up. The lighting isn't the brightest but we make it work. Every morning starts with opening the shutters. It’s a bit of a heavy pull sometimes. We usually get tea from the guy around the corner around 11 o’clock. Most days are just about getting the work done and checking the lists. There’s no fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a door and a place to sit. When the monsoon comes, the water pools a bit near the entrance, so we have to watch where we step. It’s just how things are here. We don't have a big sign outside, just enough so people can find us if they’re looking for 58-C. It’s a practical space for what we do. Not much more to say really. Just a local spot in Madangir where we spend our days.
