We are rlda studio and we work out of C 262 Cf in Defence Colony. It’s a well-known area, but our office is pretty low-key. We are located in the Cf block, and it’s a standard residential-style building that we’ve turned into our studio. It’s not a shiny glass-and-steel office tower. Inside, it’s all about the work. We have large tables for laying out plans and a few computers that are probably due for an upgrade. The atmosphere is quiet most of the time, except when we are debating a design or when the doorbell rings for a delivery. Defence Colony is a nice place to be based, though it can feel a bit busy around the market area. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just handle the projects that come our way with as much common sense as we can. The office has a bit of a lived-in feel, with stacks of old magazines and project folders that go back years. It’s not perfect, but it suits how we operate. We aren't trying to sell anyone on a dream; we just focus on the practical side of architecture and design. Every day is a bit different, but it usually involves a lot of drawing, a lot of phone calls, and the usual frustrations of trying to get things built the way they were planned.
